Workshop Description
Embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and healing in our immersive five-day Psychodrama Intensive Workshop focused on healing from trauma, enhanced with cutting-edge insights from brain science, attachment research, and sensory bodily awareness and trauma treatment.
What Will Participants Experience?
Through the powerful medium of psychodrama, participants will engage in a variety of therapeutic techniques designed to activate the brain’s natural neuroplasticity, rewiring impacted functioning and rebuilding the ability to hear and understand what your body is saying and allowing you to better identify and know what you feel.
Who is Leading the Workshop
The workshop will be lead by Dr. Elizabeth Corby and Patrick Barone, experienced trauma-informed facilitators who are certified in the field of psychodrama therapy.
How Does Psychodrama Help with Trauma?
By integrating recent research findings, we’ll delve into how trauma is often trapped in the body and how psychodrama can directly move this trapped energy forward safely, enabling participants to learn how to ultimately feel more grounded and repair often overwhelming and disconnected experiences within the self and also between the self and others.
What Will Participants Learn – What are the “Take-Aways?”
Participants will discover the impact that trauma experiences have had on their ability to moderate and self-esteem. Participants will leave will greater distress tolerance, trust and attachment, and healthy boundaries.

What is the Tuition?
The tuition for the 5 day intensive is $950.00. The workshop fee includes lunch on the full workshop days of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and snacks and beverages on all days. Housing is not included, and must be arranged by the participant.

Integration and Closure:

Whether you’re interested in the intersection of neuroscience and trauma recovery or simply looking for practical tools to facilitate multifaceted emotional healing, this intensive workshop offers a unique opportunity for deep exploration, growth, and transformation.
Where Will the Workshop Take Place?
Our workshop will take place in a large private secure office setting in the Bloomfield Hills Office Center, located off Woodward Avenue in the safe, beautiful City of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
The workshop location will be approximately 30 minutes north of Detroit, Michigan with easy access to all major freeways and only about 45 minutes from Metro Detroit Airport. Located 5-10 minutes from the exciting downtown areas of the cities of Birmingham, Pontiac, Royal Oak and Ferndale, Michigan.
Psychodrama Training Hours Available
30 hours of training credit will be obtainable towards ABE certification in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy through attendance at this workshop.

Refund Policy
Tuition is 100% refundable less a $100 processing fee, up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the workshop. After 30 days refunds are discretionary and will be given on a case by case basis only in extraordinary and unforeseeable circumstances. Notice of cancellation must be received by us by not later than May 21, 2023. Eventbrite service fees are never refundable.

Proposed Psychodrama Trauma Workshop Agenda
Note: The workshop agenda is 100% subject to change based on the group process and the wisdom of the participants. Facilitators will “follow the group” by adapting the agenda to prioritize the group’s healing and growth, allowing for spontaneous adjustments and modifications as needed. Participants can trust that their needs and experiences will guide the workshop’s direction.
Day 1: June 20, 2024 (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
6:00 PM – 6:15 PM: Welcome and Introductions
- Introduction of facilitators and participants
- Overview of workshop objectives and guidelines
6:15 PM – 8:45 PM: Sociometry and Group Building
- Sociometric exercises to explore group dynamics and roles
- Warm-up exercises to establish group cohesion and to create a safe “container” within which the group may work.
8:45 PM – 9:00 PM: Reflection and Integration
- Opportunity for participants to share insights and feelings
- Preparation for the next day’s sessions
- Brief overview of tomorrow’s schedule

- Presentation on trauma healing principles and techniques

11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Individual Psychodramas
- Participants take turns in the protagonist role, exploring personal trauma narratives
- Group members act as auxiliary egos, supporting the protagonist’s exploration
- Group sharing after each psychodrama session
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Lunch Break
1:30 PM – 4:45 PM: Continued Psychodrama Sessions
- Rotation of participants in the protagonist role
- Exploration of different themes and issues related to trauma
- Emphasis on catharsis, insight, and emotional release
